Korda Shot On The Hook

The Shot on the Hook improves the hook hold of any wafter, bottom or snowman rig. By creating a heavier downward weight the hook sinks faster and deeper, resulting in more real bites. These hook weights are made from pure Tungsten, making them extremely compact yet heavy. The clever design and rubber mounts allow the shots to be easily slid on and off the hook – making them reusable and extremely practical. For barbless hooks simply slide the shot off and for barbed hooks simply squeeze the barb flat before removing the shot. The Shot on the Hook is available in three weights: 0.30g, 0.40g and 0.50g. The 0.3g version is recommended for hook sizes 8, 6 and 4 with small baits up to 14mm. For slightly larger baits of around 16-18mm and hook sizes 6, 4 and 2 I would go for the 0.4g Shot on the Hook. For anglers using larger hooks and big baits of 20 and 24mm diameter we have the 0.5g version. The idea is that the lighter the bait, the less force the carp will use to suck it in. By using a lighter shot it has a better chance of getting into the fish’s mouth.
