Peanuts are among the heaviest bait types within the “particle” category. This legume contains 46% fat, 25% protein and approximately 14% carbohydrates. These nutritional values are perfectly suitable for carp during the summer and provide an excellent energy source that matches their digestion during this season. The strength of peanuts lies in their strong smell, taste and naturally high fat/oil content. These characteristics create enormous attraction power that will undoubtedly trigger the interest of the carp stock in your waters as well.

The high oil content of peanuts causes the release of scent and flavour throughout the different water layers. The warmer the water, the more active the oils become, resulting in an even greater underwater attraction.

When digestion slows down during low water temperatures, using peanuts is often less effective. Due to their high fat content, carp can become saturated more quickly when they consume less energy.
