The almost 400-page book 'Sluimerend Dynamiet 2.0' by none other than Rini Groothuis, the most famous carp angler of the mainland. Because of his many publications at home and abroad, he is seen as the founder of the current carp fishing. Already in 1977 he launched his first book 'Carp' which was considered a bible for many generations of carp anglers and is now seen as the old testament. He later published bestsellers such as 'Grote Karper yacht' and 'Het Grote Karperboek', which for many is considered the New Testament.
And now the last testament comes into view: 'Sluimerend Dynamiet 2.0'. It is a book full of mood drawings and situations that are cast in idyllic frameworks. Groothuis mainly seeks the core values of carp fishing through its well-known, compelling writing style: passion, experience, adventure, friendship, mystery and magic, but also don't forget the tactical and technical side.
The book has 29 chapters and a wide range of interesting topics. It is lavishly illustrated with almost 400 photos. It includes unique and intimate wildlife shots from along the waterfront of Derek Harrison, recognized carp angler and enthusiastic nature photographer. Beautiful underwater shots by Boudewijn Margadant (Boustails) and unique artwork by the famous painter Remko van den Berg. As a co-author, Mandy Zupansic, as a female carp angler, provides a special chapter about her ins and outs in that typical men's world and talks about her special catches on the big rivers.
